Our innovative Casing Centralizers Manufacturers team developed a thicker and more durable version of the WearSox® Centralizer, our Stabilizers are able to withstand higher dynamic loads and abrasion from the continuous rotation of the casing or liner against open hole formation. They eliminate the need for costly and cumbersome integral blade stabilizers and pup joints and can be installed in straight or directional wells. In addition, helical blades provide constant stand-off and smooth rotation of the casing/liner string and allow complete BHA build on one standard joint of casing.
With high grades of casing, the old methods of locating a slip-on-type centralizer, like set-screw stop collars, are ineffective. WearSox® can be sprayed internally or externally on any centralizer on the market to create a StopSox “stop collar”. You can be certain it will remain in place throughout casing running operations even with deep water centralizers. Thermal Spray StopSox provides 100,000 lbs. of holding capacity and can withstand shear forces in excess of 155,000 lbs. for a 7-3/4-inch collar.
WearSox® Thermal Spray is ideal for hardfacing downhole tools where welding of hard metal is impossible. Because of its low-temperature application, there is no effect on the metallurgical properties of the substrate. In fact, WearSox® hardfacing enhances the ultimate integrity of the casing string, allowing more rotation and reducing friction. Hardfacing prevents scoring of expandable pipe when rotating through rough cut windows. Because of its friction factor, WearSox® hardfacing enables deeper string runs in complex geometry wells.
